The End is almost here!

Strange title would you not agree? The end is almost here. What does that cause to think of, the end of the world, your own life, this year, this month, or this day. For many people fear the end yet they don’t see the beginning. No matter what there is a beginning and an end. Yet the end is just the normal cycle of things. Consider a day, month, year; they are all a cycle with a beginning and an end; however no one really is worried about that. Everything follows the same cycle including us humans, and even our world. One day will die and so will our world. We see the cycle in many things yet we fear the cycle at the same time. So is the end almost here? In one case yes, this year of 2015 is coming to an end. Just like the cycle one year ends and another begins. I hope that this New Year coming is better than the last, I hope for improvements small and large for you all and myself.

After Christmas and Before the New Year

This year has been full of surprises and at the same time gone so fast. The winter has not been what we mostly would call common around here, yet in its own way has finally starting to show its self. I personally have had some great days and some even worst days this year. I know that I am not alone in this and others had it worst and better. I am not complaining my life is and always will be hard; however I try to make the best of it always. Even as a kid we had hard times, yet my family always seems to always make the best of it no matter what. This Christmas was hard on my family, we lost my Aunt Ann, and she was a Christmas spirit. My Uncle and cousins will remember her for how much she just enjoyed the Christmas time. I will miss her, yet I will honor her in keeping Christmas live for as long as I live. Looking to the New Year, I have a few projects I would like to do, and a few personal things I would like to complete. One very special one with be my 20th anniversary with my wife, I have a few ideas, but that needs some planning and work. However most people know me, once my mind is set, I will get what I want. I see the world around me changing; people are becoming more closed in and worried about “The What IF!”. I know this so much because I played “The What IF!” all the time. I plan for the worst and the best and hope I have covered everything. “The What IF!” can be helpful and can be a harmful all at the same time. Even today, in my current ability I still am playing the “The What IF!” game in planning for worst. I have a home now and I must be ready for “The What IF!” to happen. Will it happen and what will it be, I just don’t know? But I can tell you, I will have something in my bag to extend our survival I hope. To you the reader of this blog, I will share one more thing with you. Get out, do something, help someone, make meaning in your life, then once you have done that, do it again and again. In 25 years in the Volunteer Fire Service I have seen and dome much, not for glory or to be rewarded, just because it’s the right thing to do. Now in my disabled state I have switch roles and now not as much as a worker, now more in communication and reporting. Always thought I would be the one rescuing someone in the mess of a event. Now I have learned that there is a role for everyone, not everyone can be the BIG hero. Even the BIG hero needs someone to support them, inform them, provide information, and even make sure they get the credit. I’m ok with that, so are many others out there too. We all are hero’s one way or another, we just do our part which allows others to do theirs and in the end something good comes from all of that. So to you all Happy New Year and make it count.

Shooting, being ARMED, and READY

I have been tossing around the idea that we as a people should follow our forefather, stand up for the rights of not just one person but a community as well. Monthly and even weekly in the news there's a story about a shooting or a killing. Just yesterday, another mast shooting. Now the facts are starting to come in, and this as many others are well planned and even prepared for. I posted on Facebook we the people who obey the laws and own guns should arm ourselves. There are enough guns laws on the books, and to tell the truth the only people they affect are us, those who follow the laws. Let’s face the facts and truth, guns & weapon’s can be gotten by anyone with money and connection. Also weapon’s can be made from household items and easy from items from a story. So what is the answer? Take away our rights to have a gun? Make people register their guns? Or better yet, improve the education and respect for guns. Plus make the people responsible for their security and well being. Am I saying everyone should strap on a gun and walk around carrying, in one way YES! Am I saying we as a people should protect ourselves and our community, in one way YES! Am I saying we as a people should assistance Law Enforcement in these emergencies, in one way YES! I believe as many others do, “WE THE PEOPLE”, have a duty and responsibility to protect our community, our friends, our family, and ourselves. It comes down to trust, do you trust me to protect you and do I trust you to protect me. When you consider the number of people in our nation and the number of law enforcement, they are outnumbered. Yet these people have taken an oath to protect and serve the community. I took an oath also, a military oath, to protect this nation and its people. Now granted that was many years ago and I am not the man I was then. However I would take up arms to defend my community and nation in a moment. Again I ask the same question: So what is the answer? The world is a scary place and there are very bad things happening in it. Yet we try to live a life of peace and respect, however others want us to conform to their way of thinking and be under their rule. This nation is not that type! “WE THE PEOPLE”, stood our ground and fought for the right to be free and live a life were we all are equal. Have we reached that place where we all are equal? Not yet, but we are getting closer. Are we at a point where we are safe in our communities? Not in the world today. Can “WE THE PEOPLE”, do something about this? I think so; however it will take trust and comment from everyone to reach. The real question is you ready to act and trust? We are a nation of being ready for weather events, natural disasters, and even the loss of services for a short time frame. Even the government wants us ready for these things. Why cannot we also reach a level of being ready for these shooting and mass killings? We can do prepare one type of event, then why not for everything else. Consider this, if something was to happen and you’re not ready, what are the possible outcomes? Now consider if you’re ready and prepared do the outcomes change? Tell the truth, I would feel better knowing I was ready, willing and able, then deal with the outcomes knowing I did all I could. The real question would you also feel the same?

Starting fresh and new

I started the blog many years ago to share in the internet my feeling and thought in hopes that what I said reached one person. In all the years I am not sure if anyone has ever really read my stuff or even took a moment to look me up. So today I have been cleaning out my past and throwing out the old. I am starting fresh and new with the hopes that again I might reach even one person. Not to give insight or to explain the world, and not to show how good or bad my life has become. That is not for me, for is for me is the ability to tell my own story. Nothing more than that, and if someone might read this and find some wisdom or some knowledge then maybe it is for the good. There will be many more days coming to explain myself and my live, know this always I am real and what I may share is personal. So with that being said, welcome to my new blog...
